The Cutaneous nerve Patterns (Dermatomes) of the Head and Neck


Note: The anterior and lateral aspects of the head and face are innervated by the divisions of the trigeminal nerve. The posterior and lateral aspects of the head and neck are supplied by the cervical segments. Small areas of skin around the ear are innervated by the facial (VII), glossopharyngeal (IX), and vagus (X) nerves.
